Fresh start
The New
Year is fast approaching and while you are enjoying the festive holidays you
may be reflecting on your achievements of the past year and what the New Year
will bring. Do not dwell to long on any achievements you failed to reach but
rather make a quick note as to why you did not reach them, was the targets to
high or the time scale to short, or maybe you were just not ready or you were
not organised enough to reach them.
You have
just given your self the information you need to make next years goals
achievable. Do not set your goals to high (or to low) and give your self enough
time to complete them, too much time and you will put your goals off till it is
to late, to short time and you will over run and suffer disappointment. The key
to success is being realistic and organised. With being organised in mind, here
are a few things to help you along the way.
Thank you
cards
What a
better way to show your appreciation for the meals and parties your were
invited too or the wonderful gifts your received than to take the time to send
the host or sender a thank you card.
Chinese New
Year
The Chinese
New Year falls on the 10th February this year and it is the year of
the snake. Now you may or may not celebrate the Chinese New Year but many
people follow their Chinese birth sign along with their zodiac sign so it is a
nice touch to send them a card wishing them good luck and prosperity in their
year of the snake. The Chinese Zodiac runs on a twelve year cycle but on a
lunar year so New Year can happen between the 21st January and the
20th February, this means that people with birthdays around this
time maybe year of the Dragon or year of the Horse and not the Snake.
Valentine’s
Day
The 14th February is
celebrated by lovers the world over, they may call it Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day or even the Feast of Saint
Valentine. It is an opportunity to reaffirm your affections to a loved one or
to venture to express your hidden love for a friend. This is usually done with
the sending of cards that are adorned with harts, flowers and cupids. For more
